RE: Leak around rear door HOW TO FIX

SOLUTION - - - - PROBLEM SOLVED - - - -HOW ??? By loosening the bolts on the hinges, and not necessarily adjusting the door up or down, but IN. By going IN, it drew the door tighter on the door gasket providing a nice tight seal, hence-----not a leak in our 4000 mile trip up thru the midwest.

RE: Leak around rear door HOW TO FIX

A new gasket is the answer. Not "home made," but an OEM replacement. I have just finished doing the same thing to my two rear doors on a GMC. Nothing less than that full, fitted replacement gasket will give you satisfaction, I think you'll find. Sounds right - - - - O.E.M. means what???? How expensive was it??? Did you do it yourself or have a shop do it???? Thanks for your help.....

Leak around rear door HOW TO FIX

We have an old (1991) Roadtrek 190P with a pretty good leak around the rear door. Its a single door. The van was parked on a slight incline with the rear lower than the front. I plan on going to the hardware store first thing in the morning and get weather stripping ---- to try to stop this from occurring. Is there a better fix???? Need fast help. Leaving on a trip. Hate to worry about this everytime we hit a rain storm.

Questions About Top Sail State Park - Florida

About 25 of us (counting children) will be at Top Sail in a couple of weeks and we have some questions from people who have experienced Top Sail in the past. Our camp sites will be in the area of #25 to #33 so how far will that put us from the swimming pool. ?? Other questions are: 1. What can we expect for BUG problems ?? 2. When the TRAM drops you off at the beach, how far a walk from that point to the actual beach?? 3. How far to the nearest WAL-MART and also to the nearest PUBLIX ??? 4. How far to the CATHOLIC church ??? The answer I am looking for is NOT Do A Search, but I would prefer answers from people who have been there. Thanks so much for your help - - - will be waiting for your help. oh I almost forgot - - - where would you suggest for seafood eating establishments that would handle a bunch of us (approx 25)??? Thanks again PJRACER

RE: Having Never Been To TopSail State Park

We will be in sites #25, 28, 30, 27, 29 and 33 I think - - - ours will be the Roadtrek in #25. Being a senior in FL, don't believe you need a fishing license in the Gulf - - - I really don't think anybody needs one if they are not fishing from a vessel. Could be wrong - - - - I fish all the time off Dunedin in central FL (gulf waters) have never had a license.

RE: Anyone traveling with a weather radio?

Yes - - We sure do. We have a portable am/fm/weather radio --- which also has a cell phone charge and a flashlite on it. It operates off of battery and also has the crank up on it. It automatically programs the weather to what ever area you are in- - -which helps when you don't know the county of the state you are in. It was given to us as a gift.

Question About Speedometer's

We have a 1991 Dodge Roadtrek with the 318 engine and the speedometer has been acting funny in the past - - - sometimes not registering speed at all until we hit a small bump in the road or accelerator fast then it would struggle to work its way up to the actual speed and work fine the remainder of the day or trip. The mileage part of the speedometer works just fine - - - just the speed part of it. Today I took a short trip of only about 5 miles and it didn't move off of zero. Has anybody experienced this with their's, and if so what has to be done-----fairly cheap. Thanx
